The PBAC (pictorial blood assessment chart) is a diagnostic tool developed by hematologists in the 1990s. It helps determine the severity of a menstrual cycle and when intervention is recommended.

The challenge is that most menstruators don’t know this tool exists. The bigger problem is: neither do doctors.

This project aims to pull at the thread of missing education around menstrual cycle education. The mission is built to support agency over individual menstrual experience and to teach how-to advocate for care. The message we have for menstruators is: “You’re not crazy. The institution is. Here is a tool to get your needs met - it’s called The PBAC.”

This project supports educational programming and a short documentary for public access platforms.
